As of March 2, 2020, some 77 blank sailings had been announced on global shipping routes due to the COVID-19 outbreak, for a total volume loss of 1.9 TEUs. Over half of these concerned the Trans-Pacific route. Figures refer to the period from week 5 to week 15 of 2020.
