Highest bidders for U.S. Gulf of Mexico offshore oil & gas leases 2019 & 2020

Chevron USA was the top bidder for oil and gas lease sales in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico in March 2020. The California based energy corporation successfully bid an aggregate of 24.67 million U.S. dollars at that time. This was roughly two million U.S. dollars more than the company bid at the previous lease sale date in August 2019. The total sum of all winning bids was 93.08 million U.S. dollars.
