A survey of Singaporeans on the COVID-19 financial relief package in March 2020 found that 64 percent of respondents perceived that the enhanced cash payouts to Singaporeans aged above 21 years old would benefit families the most. On 7 April 2020, the government announced the 'Solidarity' budget, through which residents would receive an additional payout of 300 Singapore dollars in cash.
