Spain is by far the leading re-exporter of LNG in Europe. In 2021, 1.44 million tons of LNG were re-exported from Spanish terminals. This accounts for 35 percent of worldwide totals, making Spain the leading re-exporter in the world. Total LNG imports in Europe amounted to nearly 119.71 million tons that year.
