In 2019, 46 percent of Malay-Muslims surveyed in Malaysia stated that they spent between 500 to one thousand Malaysian ringgit for Ramadan and Hari Raya. Hari Raya is the Malay term for Eid-ul-Fitr, the Muslim celebration after one month of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.
