Share of trainee employers that violated labor standards Japan 2021, by issue
Among about 6.5 thousand businesses in Japan that were found to have violated labor standards regarding the employment of foreign technical intern trainees in 2021, more than 24 percent neglected regulations on safety standards. Violations of overtime payment regulations were also a common issue during that year, with approximately 16 percent of all identified cases falling into this category.
