Global polyethylene and polypropylene demand 2017-2023
The global demand for polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) amounted to around 142 million metric tons in 2017. Projections that were made prior to the COVID-19 pandemic indicated an expected steady increase in the global demand for PE and PP until 2023, with an expected demand of 180 million metric tons.
