Employment and salaries change due to the COVID-19 in Poland 2020

In May 2020, compared to the previous month, there was a decrease in both average employment and average gross monthly remuneration in the enterprise sector in Poland. According to the source, this was a result of, inter alia, the reduction of the job number, termination and nonrenewal of fixed-term contracts (sometimes due to the epidemiological situation), as well as termination of employment contracts with employees. The decrease in average employment was also influenced by the collection of care and sickness benefits by employees, as well as unpaid leaves due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
