Between March and the first days of June 2020, the footwear industry in Brazil registered over 35 thousand job losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The states with the largest number of job losses in that industry were São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul, with 10.64 thousand and 10.29 thousand positions less, respectively.
