Perception of the word Oświęcim/Auschwitz in Poland 2020
In 2020, the names "Oświęcim/Auschwitz" were associated primarily with the place of martyrdom of the Polish nation (43 percent), and slightly less frequently with the extermination of the Jews (38 percent). During the observed period, it can be seen that more people associated this place with the Holocaust of Jews. However, one percent of respondents did not have any knowledge about Auschwitz in 2020.
