Tourists traveling alone in South Korea in 2019, by origin
According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2019, the largest share of international visitors travelling alone came from Mongolia, with around 65.5 percent traveling solo. In contrast, visitors from Malaysia and Taiwan rarely travelled alone, with only 15.6 percent and 15.4 percent having come alone. The overall average rate of solo travelers visiting South Korea was 30.8 percent in 2019.
