Value added to the GDP in Kenya 2022, by activity
Agriculture had the largest contribution to Kenya's economy in the first quarter of 2022. The sector added roughly 776 billion Kenyan shillings (KSh), approximately 6.5 billion U.S. dollars, to the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The amount corresponded to over 20 percent of the total contribution of all industries to the economy. In the same period, the Kenyan GDP at market prices at the same period was measured at roughly 3.3 trillion KSh (28 billion U.S. dollars).
