Cumulative external debt of Kenya 2020-2022
As of December 2022, the external debt from Kenya accumulated to roughly 4.7 trillion Kenyan shillings (Ksh), approximately 35.8 billion U.S. dollars. The value was equivalent to 51 percent of the country's total debt. Kenya's external debt increased by over 540 billion KSh (some 4.1 billion U.S. dollars) from December 2021.
