The forecast for 2026 reveals a stark upward mobility of active internet of things (IoT) connections in the following industries: automotive with 204.1 million, smart buildings with 109.99 million, tracking with 91.04 million, and smart cities with 52.77 million. Compared to 2017, this is an extreme contrast, as all industry sectors did not have more than approximately 40 million active IoT connections. With more time the more likely the active connections of IoT will expand throughout Europe's many industry sectors.
