55 percent of respondents from the tech industry answered that their companies have not adopted new software to monitor employees working from home (WFH) since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The reasons to not use monitoring systems to track employees performance are manifold. A high level of trust between the employee and the employer might not make such measures necessary, regulations and privacy laws might stand against it, or the company does not have sufficent resources to implement such tools.
