Consideration of government requests in deciding whether to travel in Japan 2020
In a postal questionnaire conducted in May and June 2020 about the stance of the Japanese population to act according to governmental requests when considering to travel in Japan, 69.2 percent of respondents stated that they would decide based on governmental or local authority's requests and guidelines. Around 27.6 percent of respondents stated to take governmental requests into consideration, but to ultimately decide based on their own judgement, resulting in over 95 percent of respondents who were inclined or ready to listen to governmental requests.
