Petrochemical sector export value in Brazil 2020, by type
In 2020, other organic chemical products accounted for the largest export value in Brazil, at nearly 1.7 billion U.S. dollars. At that time, petrochemical exports from Brazil amounted to 3.8 billion U.S. dollars, out of which thermoplastic resins added up to 1.4 billion U.S. dollars. This represented nearly 38 percent of the sector's export value that year. In contrast, thermosetting resins exports totaled 150.5 million dollars, or four percent of the Brazilian petrochemical export value.
