Rule of law index in Algeria 2010-2020
In 2020, the rule of law index score for Algeria stood at minus 0.78, a slight increase compared to the previous year which recorded minus 0.82 points. Within the period examined, the country’s rule of law registered the lowest index scores between 2015 and 2017 (minus 0.86 points each year). A higher index score indicates greater confidence in the country's rule of law, including contract enforcement, property rights, and criminal justice.
