Corruption perception in Sub-Saharan Africa 2022
Sub-Saharan Africa had the lowest global average score in the Corruption Perception Index as of 2022. The region scored 32, from a range of zero (high perceptions of corruption) to 100 (no corruption is perceived). Seychelles, Botswana, and Cabo Verde had the best performance in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the respective scores at 70 and 60. On the other hand, South Sudan (13) and Somalia (12) were positioned at the index's bottom.
