Index of change in the number of weekly trips made by Vélib' service user France 2020
The change index in the use of bike-sharing services in the Paris region "Vélib'" fluctuated widely between February 15 and June 22, 2020. Taking the benchmark index of 100, between February 15 and March 15, the number of trips made on Vélib' dropped sharply from March 16 due to the announcement of national confinement in France. As soon as it was lifted on May 11, 2020, Île-de-France residents quickly reused the bicycles. The Paris Region bike-sharing service subsequently enjoyed great popularity and saw its trip index climb to nearly 180 on June 22, 2020.
