Parisians were the residents of Île-de-France, which had the lowest bicycle ownership rate in the region in 2018. In fact, only 23 percent of Parisians owned a bicycle. The total average for the Île-de-France region was 35 percent.

* From January 2018 to June 2019 - excluding periods of school vacations and social movements - more than 3,000 households were surveyed face to face in their homes, i.e. nearly 7,000 residents and nearly 28,000 weekday trips. They described all of their trips the day before the survey day. The results presented at the Assises de la mobilité on September 24, 2019 only concern weekdays from Monday to Friday.
