The number of vehicles in operation in Canada is expected to have increased by 4.4 million units between 2015 and 2020 to some 29.8 million units. Much of the growth in Canada's motor vehicle fleet will likely belong to light trucks which have increasingly taken up a larger share of the new vehicle market.
