Number of registered new passenger cars in Belgium 2009-2020

In 2020, approximately 439,000 new passenger cars were registered in Belgium. The number represents a 21.3 percent decrease year-on-year. Between 2009 and 2020, 2019 was the year with the most registrations.

When looking at the total number of new registered vehicles, roughly the same development can be seen as with the new registered cars: between 2009 and 2020, 2019 was the year with the most registered vehicles, with approximately 688,000 new registrations.
