Canada: hours required for taxation by type 2020

As of 2020, the time needed to comply with VAT refund in Canada was eight hours. To obtain a VAT refund, instead, some 14 weeks were required. I addition, the time to comply with a corporate income tax correction amounted to 15 hours.

The ease of doing business (EODB) score captures the gap between an economy’s performance and is a measure of best practice across the entire sample of 41 indicators for 10 topics. The ranking complements the ease of doing business score by providing information about an economy’s performance in business regulation relative to the performance of other economies as measured by Doing Business. The ranking is out of 190 countries.

The ease of doing business rankings are benchmarked from 1 May 2018 on, and based on the average of each economy’s ease of doing business scores for the 10 topics included in the aggregate ranking.
