As of February 2021, the share of customers in Japan who had experience closing a mobile phone contract online was highest among customers of Rakuten Un-Limit, among whom more than 81 percent had made this experience. The share was lowest in the case of customers of au (by KDDI), among whom about one in four people had ever closed a mobile phone contract online.
