Arms imports into Kenya 2010-2020
Jordan was the main supplier of weapons to Kenya in the entire period under consideration. Arms included aircraft, armored vehicles, artillery, engines, naval weapons, and ships.
As of 2020, the value of arms imports into Kenya was 60 million SIPRI trend indicator value (TIV), increasing from 16 million TIV recorded in the previous year. TIV is a measure to represent the transfer of military resources rather than the financial value of the transfer. It neither reflects prices paid for weapons nor represents current dollar values for arms transfers.
