China was the world's leading chemical exporting country in 2020, with exports of organic chemicals amounting to a value of 57 billion U.S. dollars. That amount equated to 15 percent of global organic chemical exports based on value that year. China's exports of inorganic chemicals amounted to a further 15.2 billion U.S. dollars that year, accounting for nearly 13 percent of global inorganic chemical exports.
