Difficulty affording select health care costs among U.S. workers with ESI in 2018

In 2018, a quarter of respondents with employer-sponsored health insurance said they had difficulty affording medical bills before meeting their plan's deductible. Some 1 in 10 workers had difficulty affording their monthly health insurance premium (or the employee contribution). Overall, 4 in 10 respondents had trouble affording health care.
