
Share of users cycling without a helmet in 2018 by age group
Cyclists between 18 to 24 years old were most often associated with cycling without a helmet in Europe in 2018; around 75.7 percent of users in that age group reported not using a helmet. They were followed by users between 35 and 44 years old and cyclists between 55 and 64 years old, with 70.7 percent of both age range reporting cycling without a helmet at least a few times per month.
