European support for mandatory helmet policy in 2018 by age group
As of 2018, road users over 65 years old were mostly in favor of policy measures requiring all cyclists to wear a helmet, with a support rate of over three-quarters of all respondents in that age group. By contrast, these measures only had 57.2 percent of support in younger people between 18 and 24 years old.
