The total supply of offshore rigs in the Middle East was 181 in the week of December 16, 2022. The amount of marketed and contracted offshore rigs in the Middle East was 158, bringing the utilization rate to 93.5 percent that month. In November there was the greatest monthly increase since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war as producers in the region expected greater global oil demand for the coming winter.
