The Middle East consumed 421.4 million metric tons of oil in 2023, an increase of roughly 2.4 percent in comparison to the previous year. During the period under consideration, figures grew by 250 million metric tons, peaking in 2023. As of 2023, there was a worldwide oil consumption increase. By comparison, Europe oil consumption decrease within the same period.
