In April 2021, around 7.3 million people in Italy were working from home, corresponding to 31.6 percent of the total working population. Results from the same survey suggest that WFH had some positive impact on people's work. As a matter of fact, around 62 percent of respondents declared having reached a better work-life balance, and another 53 percent reported an improvement in digital skills. On the other hand, however, about half of the respondents acknowledged a weakening in work relations, work overload, and increasing stress.
