Opinion on banning THC for professional athletes in the U.S. 2021, by politics
THC, the psychoactive component in marijuana, is on the list of banned substances for the World Anti-Doping Agency. During a survey conducted in the United States in July 2021, 42 percent of Republican respondents strongly agreed that THC should be a banned substance for professional and Olympic athletes, while this figure fell to 20 percent among Independents.
