In 2022, over 60 percent of households formed by one adult with one or more dependent children had some degree of difficult making ends meet. Moreover, nearly 18 percent of such families made ends meet with a great deal of difficulty. By contrast, approximately six percent of households with two adults but no dependent children had such degree of difficulty covering their necessary expenses.
