Nicaragua: poverty headcount ratio at 3.20 U.S. dollars a day 2005-2014

The poverty rate in Nicaragua has been decreasing recently. In 2014, approximately 12.8 percent of the Nicaraguans were living on less than 3.20 U.S. dollars per day, down from 27.1 percent of the country's population in 2005.

Still, social inequality remains a challenge in Latin America altogether.
