The volume of steel production in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Ukraine stood at 6.2 million metric tons in December 2022, having decreased from 6.5 million metric tons in the previous month. Over the observed period, the highest monthly steel production for this country group was recorded at nine million metric tons in January 2022.
