Value of equity in the semiconductor industry segments in China 2019, by ownership
The value of government-owned equity in the IDM segment in China amounted to 34 billion U.S. dollars in 2019. Government subsidies play a big role in the semiconductor industry because the development of a domestic industry is a priority of the Chinese government. The National Integrated Circuit Industry Development Investment Fund has distributed 43 percent of funds into the IDM segment.
