Electric truck worldwide market volume forecast by type 2026

Medium-duty trucks are projected to make up over 93 percent of the global electric truck fleet by 2026, at over 302,000 units in use worldwide. This share of the market remains constant compared to 2019, when medium electric commercial vehicles amounted to 94 percent of the total fleet. Heavy-duty trucks are forecast to record a faster growth, however, with a projected compound annual growth rate between 2020 and 2026 of 77.38 percent.
