Digital voice assistants are versatile and can be used with different devices. A 2021 survey carried out in the United States showed that Siri was mostly used on mobile phones (90 percent), being the voice assistant service of Apple. Google Assistant was also widely used on smartphones (75 percent) in the U.S. On the contrary, 66 percent of U.S. survey participants used Amazon Alexa with smart speakers, as Amazon Echo was one of the first smart speaker introduced to the mass public and has a leading market share.
