Inbound tourism spending over GDP Vietnam 2012-2020
In 2020, inbound tourism expenditure accounted for over one percent of the GDP in Vietnam, indicating a significant decrease compared to the previous year. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, Vietnam has remained closed to international visitors, with a few exceptions, for instance for international experts. As a result, tourism expenditure from inbound tourists plummeted in 2020.
