In 2021, the services sector in Vietnam recorded a GDP growth rate of 1.2 percent, a much slower growth rate than the previous year. The services sector in the country was negatively influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially due to travel restrictions and lockdowns. In that year, Vietnam was among the nations with the highest GDP growth worldwide.
