Environmental friendliness by state in Germany 2021

In 2020/2021, Baden-Württemberg in the south of Germany was the most environmentally friendly state in Germany based on the federal state index for mobility and the environment (Bundesländerindex für Mobiltität und Umwelt). Thuringia and Rhineland-Palatinate ranked second and third with 63 and 58 index points, respectively.
