Quarterly CO2 emissions from energy supply in the United Kingdom 2015-2022
Quarterly energy supply emissions in the United Kingdom have fallen considerably in recent years. In Q1 2022, the energy supply sector emitted an estimated 20.6 MtCO2. This was a reduction of more than 50 percent compared with emissions in Q1 2015. Energy supply emissions in the UK are typically lowest in the second and third quarters of each year, with emissions increasing during the colder months.
