UK: CO2 emissions from non-road transportation 2020-2040

UK carbon dioxide emissions attributable to non-road transportation modes, such as civil aviation, railways, and national navigation, are projected to steadily increase over the next two decades to reach almost 13 million metric tons by 2040. Non-road transportation emissions increased significantly in 2021, as transportation industries recovered from COVID-19-related lockdowns and restrictions in 2020.
