Major outward M&A deals Japan 2021-2022, by value
In May 2021, the Japanese retail group Seven & i Holdings acquired the company Speedway for about 21 billion U.S. dollars, which represented the highest outward cross-border merger and acquisition (M&A) deal in Japan in the period examined. The M&A deal of Nippon Paint Holdings and Nipsea International ranked second with a transaction value of roughly 9.9 billion dollars in January 2021.
