U.S. availability of remote work by occupation 2022
A 2022 survey found that computer and mathematical professions had the highest rate of remote-working opportunities with 52 percent having full-time opportunities and 37 percent having part-time opportunities. Protective services had the lowest rate of remote-working opportunities with 22 percent full-time and 23 percent part-time remote-work. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many workers across the U.S. began working remotely for the first time. The popularity of remote work has continued as pandemic restrictions have relaxed.
