Monthly inflation rate (CPI) in Sweden 2021-2022, by selected commodity groups

The inflation rate in Sweden rose sharply through the second half of 2022. It was driven by rising prices of several commodities, with food and non-alcoholic beverages as well as housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels showing the highest inflation as of December 2022. Especially since, Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, inflation rates around the world have been increasing. In Sweden, it reached 11.5 percent in November 2022.
