The consumer confidence index has dropped significantly due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in Norway since the second quarter of 2020. A positive value indicates that the consumers are optimistic about the economic situation, while a negative value indicates pessimism. In the fourth quarter of 2020, the consumer confidence in Norway amounted to minus 11.5 points.
