Top-grossing animated feature films of selected studios worldwide as of 2022
As of July 2022, among the studios ranked, Disney was responsible for the highest-grossing animated feature film of all time: the 2019 version of "The Lion King," with global box office revenue of over 1.62 billion U.S. dollars. Pixar – run by Disney since 2006 – ranked second with "Incredibles 2" (2018), which grossed more than 1.24 billion dollars worldwide. DreamWorks, a subsidiary of Comcast's Universal Pictures, followed with the 935-million-dollar success "Shrek 2" (2004).
